Farm gate and stone barn in the village of Sheepstor in the Dartmoor National Park. The village is near Sheeps Tor, the tor from where it gets its name, with the Burrator Reservoir a short walk away. I thought this image was a perfect subject for a black and white conversion.
China clayworks site near Shaugh Moor on Dartmoor. This 'pond', I believe, is known as a mica dam, which is used to separate the china-clay (kaolin) from the water. There are several of these in the area, mostly now disused. This part of the clay-works is no longer in operation. It is, however, an interesting place to explore, though strictly speaking, not really allowed.
View to the Dartmoor landscape and distant tors - from the track at the edge of the disused clay-works site near Shaugh Moor The closest tors in the picture are Sheeps Tor, Leather Tor, and Sharpitor. Beyond those, on the skyline is Great Mis Tor.
