Portland Bill Lighthouse has helped sailers for centuries by warning them of the dangerous rocks surrounding the Island of Portland. The lighthouse is a functioning lighthouse on the southern end of the isle of Portland. The lighthouse and its boundary walls are Grade II listed.

Pulpit Rock is a coastal feature at Portland Bill, the southern tip of the isle of Portland in the English county of Dorset. The rock leaning onto the stack was placed there by quarrymen the 1870's after a natural arch was cut away. The leaning rock represents an open bible. Photographed on a bright summers day in the South Devon fishing town of Brixham. Conditions were near perfect, hardly a ripple of the water. The sun behind me reflected the scene on the other side of the harbour perfectly.
Sunset at Hill Head Harbour. Hill Head is situated on the south coast of England, overlooking The Solent from its north eastern shoreline. It is a small drying harbour that is crowded with local club moorings where it may be possible to take to the mud inside or to anchor well outside. At the side of the road around the harbour is the Titchfield Haven Nature Reserve. The reserve offers visitors raised trails through a protected natural environment.

Just prior to the massive storm in October 2018, a boat is lifted from the harbour to take it out of harms way.
I captured this photograph on the eve of the severe weather that hit Mallorca in October 2018. Late in the afternoon of on 9th October the clouds started to roll in. From a beautiful sunny day the sky's started to darken at the harbour side in Portocolom. What followed was an horrendous storm causing flooding and sadly loss of life.
