Flying Scotsman on the Cathedrals Express rail tour along the Severn Estuary on 19th May 2017. Flying Scotsman is the most famous locomotive in the world and this tour had crowds on every bridge waiting for a glimpse of this Icon. Photograph of 60163 Tornado on the Severn Valley Railway leaving Highley station on an Autumn afternoon in October 2015. Tornado is a Peppercorn class A1 Pacific 4-6-2 completed in 2008 to the original specification. It's the only example of an LNER Peppercorn Class A1 in existence, as all the original A1 locomotives were scrapped without preservation.
Great Western Railway locomotive Bradley Manor photographed on the Severn Valley Railway set against a glorious evening sky. The Great Western Manor Locomotives were lighter utility engines used on both passenger and freight. Bradley Manor was built in 1939 and withdrawn from service in 1965.
