A colourful late cold November walk through and at the top of 'Little Coombe' and 'Greater Coombe' Woods at Stourton, near Stourhead in 2012. My wife and the dogs in the distance... numerous copper coloured leaves on the pathway and still holding tight to the branches above... a few young conifer trees growing under the old deciduous trees.
A late autumnal Saturday morning walk in an area of 'Beaumont's Wood' and 'Hilcombe Hanging', near Stourhead, with the dogs brought us to this scene as we came up a steady climbing track. Sunlight and blue skies behind the gold and copper coloured leaves on the trees and track, intermingled with the greens of the conifers, undergrowth and grass.
