Sunset over the Derwent Valley in the Peak District, Jeni Harney

Jeni Harney

I picked up a camera when my youngest was a year old and decided I was going to teach myself how to use it properly. Twelve years later and I have a degree in photography after graduating from the University of Salford with a First. I push photography to its limits when I can, especially during my degree, but I also like to take a step back and enjoy walking in the countryside and photographing the landscapes around me.

I have an interest in pinhole and film photography, I build my own pinhole cameras and I also have my own darkroom where I develop and print traditional silver gelatin photographic images. I experiment with alternative photographic processes and the old printing methods such as cyanotypes and salt prints.
