Commando Memorial Statue Detail

Unveiled by the Queen Mother in 1952, the Commando Memorial monument, a few miles north of Spean Bridge beside the A82 road in Lochaber, Scotland, is dedicated to the men of the original British Commando Forces raised during World War II. It stands amidst remote countryside in an exposed position surrounded by the highest and wildest of Highland scenery.
