Along a Dartmoor Stream

Along a Dartmoor Stream

This is the Newleycombe Lake, a small stream that flows from the moor to join the River Meavy at Norsworthy Bridge near the Burrator Reservoir. It clearly is not a lake, but no-one seems to know why it should be named as such. Whatever its name, it is a beautiful area along the banks of this stream and a perfect place to relax and enjoy a picnic. Photo taken late August.
