Milky Way over Durdle Door
Milky Way over Durdle Door
The Milky Way shines brightly above Durdle Door on Dorsets Jurassic coast. The Milky Way is only visible during the summer months and only between 23:30 and 02:30 on the very clearest of nights is it bright enough to capture on camera. Here, central core (The centre of our Galaxy) can just be seen above the horizon. Light pollution prevents the Milky Way from being visible from most of the UK so the low levels of Dorset makes it ideal.
