Langthwaite is a very small village deep in the heart of Arkengarthdale, which is the most northerly dale of all the Dales, and is the sister to Swaledale. Langthwaite was made famous by the on location scenes of the 1970's television series of James Herriott's All Creatures Great And Small which was a very popular series of it's day. Tourists still visit Langthwaite even now, to see if they can recognise any of the houses/buildings. The Red Lion public house is still open most days, and this too played a small part in the series. This would be a wonderful reminder of your visit to here, and would look lovely on any home or office wall.
