The village nestles in a small valley & faces east to Mevagissey Bay. The inner & outer harbours are busy with a mixture of pleasure vessels & working fishing boats. It has a thriving fishing industry and is the second biggest fishing port in Cornwall. Mevagissey village centre consists of narrow streets with many places to eat.

A beautiful sunrise along the Wairau Valley, Mount Patriarch and the Red Hills, with the first rays of sun striking the mountains. Mount Patriarch peak is 1656 m high, overlooking Wairau Valley in Mount Richmond Forest Park. The route to the summit is challenging, though a 4WD forestry road provides foot and MTB access to within short distance of it.

Llyn Ogwen is a long thin lake in north-west Wales. It lies alongside the A5 road between two mountain ranges of Snowdonia, the Carneddau and the Glyderau. Llyn Ogwen lies at a height of about 310 metres above sea level and has an area of 78 acres but is a very shallow lake, with a maximum depth of only a little over 3 metres. It is fed by a number of streams from the slopes of the mountains which surround it, which include Tryfan and Pen yr Ole Wen.

The beach itself has beautiful golden sand, and only accessible at low tide.

Lake Rotoiti, is a lake in the Tasman Region of New Zealand. It is a substantial mountain lake within the borders of Nelson Lakes National Park. The lake is fed by the Travers River, water from the lake flows into the Buller River. The lake is surrounded by beech forest and is 269 ft deep. Saint Arnaud is a small community at the northern end of the lake. There are water taxis which run an ad hoc transport service, year round, during daylight hours, stopping off for certain walks or justoffering tours of the lake itself, this was a beautiful autumnal day out where we had a picnic.

The Great West Front was added in 1342, this was richly coloured when completed.

The landscape consists of moorland capped with many exposed granite hilltops known as tors, providing habitats for Dartmoor wildlife. The highest point is High Willhays, 2,037 ft above sea level. The entire area is rich in antiquities and archaeology.

It lies on the famous Abbot’s Way which is a 23 mile monastic route across Dartmoor that the monks of Buckfastleigh followed to take them to Tavistock Abbey. The whole route is marked with stone crosses, some of it is on well established tracks and other parts across open moorland.

Walk on a beautiful sunny day on Dartmoor, but barely half way through our walk it started to rain. We still made it to the top of Bray Tor and Widgery Cross. The River Lyd rises at Lyd Head on Dartmoor, Devon, runs through Lydford Gorge, the deepest gorge in the South West and then flows into the River Tamar near Lifton.

The impressive ride stands over 100 feet high & is located at Pier Approach. You can get some great shots across Bournemouth & the bay from the gondolas. Introduced to experience panoramic views of the resorts award-winning seafront the Bournemouth Big Wheel returned to Bournemouth for English Tourism Week. The big wheel boasts 27 gondolas & replaced the Vistarama Baloon which was an attraction in Bournemouth Lower Gardens. I find it quite abstract when photographed in part & beautiful.

The western Road around Grasmere, on a misty autumnal Grasmere is a village in Cumbria, England, in the centre of the Lake District. It takes its name from the adjacent lake. The village is overlooked from the north-west by the rocky hill of Helm Crag. There are many lovely walks around Grasmere and the surrounding fells.

Clinging to the hillside, & surrounded on three sides by water, the village is a maze of narrow streets alleys & flights of steps winding between the cottages, it is much loved as a community, a haven for yachts & also a tranquil holiday destination. Beautiful and truly unique, The Bandstand is located on Brighton's vibrant seafront. The Bandstand first opened in 1884. The historic seafront bandstand re-opened in summer 2009, having undergone a major restoration project to return the building to its Victorian splendour. After coming out of Victoria Station in London, I notice the Nova building, towering above the beautiful building on the right. I liked the juxtaposition of these three buildings with the compressed perspective of a telephoto lense. The Nova occupies an entire block, comprises of two office buildings, designed by PLP Architecture and a residential building by Benson & Forsyth. It was voted Carbuncle of the year 2017, a worthy title in my mind, although. it is strangely intriguing to look at and an assault on the senses at the same time.. The Pigeon was an added bonus, and luckily captured at the right time.

The Lake approximately 3 miles long by 1 mile wide & is some 72 feet deep. There are several islands within the lake, one of which is inhabited. The lake is just a short walk from Keswick town along well maintained footpaths. The most popular way to enjoy the beauty of the lake, other than by walking the paths around its shores, is to board one of the Keswick Launches which operate round the lake. The main boat landings are just a 10 minutes walk from the centre of Keswick town.

Inside the driver's compartment of the steam train, called Braveheart, 75014 BR Standard Class 4-6.0. Built in December 1951 in Swindon. Withdrawn by British Railways in 1966. When it was sent for scrap. It rotted in Barry scrap yard for 14 years, was bought as a wreck in 1981, by a 4 man syndicate based on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. They bought it back to steam in 1994 & they sold it in 2002 to Dartmouth Steam Railway & River Boat Company.

The river descends to the sea over a course of about 15 miles before entering the Irish Sea at the Duddon Sands.
