Kaye Menner | Windy Day Oxley Beach NSW Australia

Windy Day Oxley Beach NSW Australia

It was an extremely windy day at Oxley Beach, Port Macquarie, New South Wales, Australia. It was far too windy this day to sit on the beach, or even walk along the beach as the sand was blowing probably 2 or 3 feet above the ground. The waves were rolling in, and the ocean as far as you could see was covered with white tips. The sky was a rich blue with cumulus clouds which to me seemed unusual for such a windy day. The lighter colored strip of sand is the sand that is being blown along the beach in the air above the ground. It was even difficult to stand up properly the wind was so strong.

Kaye Menner | Tranquility Reflecting

Tranquility Reflecting

January 2018, we visited the mid north coast, New South Wales, Australia. During our few days rest, we visited some friends early one morning at Macksville by the Nambucca River. It was so quiet and peaceful with the fluffy cumulus clouds reflecting on the calm water. What a place to enjoy a coffee!
Kaye Menner | Surfing the Wild Seas - Bondi Beach Australia

Surfing the Wild Seas - Bondi Beach Australia

Landscape of Bondi Beach, Sydney, Australia on a very windy day. A wild and windy day at Bondi Beach with numerous surfers out for some surfing fun. It was so beautiful to see the varied colors of the water and the misty sea spray blowing from the waves.
Kaye Menner | Pretty Waves in Paradise - Palm Beach Sydney

Pretty Waves in Paradise - Palm Beach Sydney

A photograph I captured on a perfect day of sunshine and warmth on 20th May 2016 at Palm Beach, Sydney, Australia. The sea was tranquil and crystal clear with many beautiful colors and pretty small waves were lapping at the seashore upon the colorful wet sand. There was a beautiful rich blue sky with some cumulus clouds floating by. It was just like paradise. May is our last month of Autumn, but our weather has been like summer or spring. Warm and beautiful.
Kaye Menner | English Tapestry

English Tapestry

Photograph of a pretty English tapestry. A quaint and pretty scene of a lovely old English village with thatched roof cottages, colorful garden beds and a cobbled road with a man on horseback. My Mum who is no longer with us, handmade this tapestry some time ago and it is hanging on my wall.
Kaye Menner | North Haven Breakwater Walkway

North Haven Breakwater Walkway

On a few days vacation recently, I took a drive not far south of Port Macquarie, mid north coast, New South Wales, Australia. I came across this beautiful spot in the Camden Haven district called North Haven. Such a beautiful beach, not at all crowded, and a 'waiting to be photographed' breakwater or break bridge as I believe they call it. The breakwater was quite long with all different types of huge rocks lining the edge. I think many of them were granite. I have no idea how they transported so many very big rocks to this location. It is as if it is a bit of a secret location, as Google, etc do not seem to have much on the net about this. On the left side of the breakwater was the surf / ocean and on the right side (can only view part), a type of lagoon which had pretty blue water and is apparently a great place for fishing.
Kaye Menner | View of Lily Pads from Gazebo

View of Lily Pads from Gazebo

An old green timber gazebo with timber floorboards overlooking a large pond with lots of green lily pads. It was such a pretty view with so many shades of green. The pond was surrounded by various trees and plants. Image captured at Port Macquarie, New South Wales, Australia.

A two photograph panorama stitched together in Photoshop, captured at the beach end of the long North Haven Breakwater. Kaye Menner | Twilight by the Bridge

Twilight by the Bridge

In June 2017, I went into the City of Sydney to view firsthand the spectacular VIVID SYDNEY, a festival of light, music and ideas. Prior to the beginning of the light show, I captured 3 long exposure images from the walkway not far from the Sydney Opera House and stitched them together in Photoshop to create this panoramic view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and exit to the city from the bridge on the left showing some of the city buildings. The brightly illuminated building on the left is the Sydney Passenger Terminal.
Kaye Menner | Beautiful Nambucca Heads

Beautiful Nambucca Heads

It was a very windy day, but nonetheless I captured two images from a point looking over Nambucca Heads, mid north coast, New South Wales, Australia. I stitched these images together in Photoshop to form a pretty panoramic view of the beautiful Nambucca. It was even difficult to stand up with the strong winds this day which was unusual. The clouds in the sky were a little strange considering the high winds with cumulus clouds on the horizon, but with more wind related clouds higher in the sky. Just a lovely place to spend a few days. Just better when there is not much wind. [Courtesy Wikipedia] Nambucca Heads, located at the mouth of the Nambucca River on the mid north coast, New South Wales, Australia, is a beautiful coastal holiday town. The stunning long white beaches offer perfect conditions for fishing, swimming, boating and surfing, and the broad, sheltered river is an ideal venue for waterskiing, kayaking and tranquil cruising.
Kaye Menner | Nature Versus Concrete

Nature Versus Concrete

Photograph captured at Narrabeen-Collaroy beach in Sydney's north on 29th September 2013. An old cement structure, perhaps an old sewerage outlet now not used, protrudes out into the water in the middle of this very long beach. With its rustic red color and textures with seaweed on top, and chains on top and sides, this structure has become a bit of a landmark and blends quite well into the natural scene of the beach. The continuous pounding of waves from the Pacific Ocean makes a rather spectacular feature.
Kaye Menner | Golden Countryside Australia

Golden Countryside Australia

Photograph captured slightly inland on the mid north coast, New South Wales, Australia of a pretty country rural property with lots of color and a cloudy blue sky. The old post-and-rail style country fence is still standing with lots of lichen growing on it. This area is classed as a sub-tropical climate, so sometimes it is dry and parched, but after tropical rainfall, it can be very green. It is around 20 kilometers west of Macksville, New South Wales, Australia.
Kaye Menner | Seagull Landing

Seagull Landing

Rock Formations at Sunset - Palm Beach

Amazing rock formations at sunset at Palm Beach, Sydney, Australia. The colors at golden hour were magnificent perhaps magnified or contrasted by the light and shadows created by the setting sun. The cracks or fissures in the rock platform reminded me of tram tracks or train tracks. I just love nature.

The Menindee Lakes are located in south-west New South Wales on the Darling River, about 200 km upstream of the Darling River's junction with the River Murray. The town of Menindee is close to the lakes and the nearest city is Broken Hill.
