The water tower has been left standing at the foot of this rolling field for decades, due to its location it may well have had some relevance to the Oare Gunpowder Works situated in the nearby woods as Steam powered vehicles were used to transport materials to and from the works
Dipsacus Sativus or Fuller's Teasel growing at the edge of a field, this plant is extremely spikey and is a partially carnivorous plant meaning that if 'fed' dead insects onto the flower head then this will increase the seed production. When in bloom it has a bright covering of pink/purple flowers, this particular teasel has already flowered and is now dropping seeds.
