Börringe Kloster was a Monastic Priory, then operated as a farm estate, but modern farming has changed the need to use many of the buildings. We are left with some beautiful buildings crafted in typical local materials. Today this huge estate seems to no longer be farmed using old farming methodology and consequently with less equipment and manpower needed, many of the beautiful old buildings appear largely unused
This assembly of buildings clustered together is typical in colour and style of rural home and farm buildings right across Sweden. This one is at Norrboda, on the island of Öland off Sweden's east coast.
