When words become unclear, I shall focus with photographs. When images become inadequate, I shall be content with silence.
Ansel Adams.
I was born in Hartlepool 1954 and have lived there all my life. I'm a joiner by trade and have worked all over the country since leaving school. I've always been interested in art and photography and hope to progress this further when I retire in 2019. My first cameras, back in 1983 were an Olympus OM10 and a OM1n which I still have . I decided to jump into the modern era in 2014 when I bought my current full format camera, a Nikon D610. I use this together with Nikon 16-35, Nikon 70-300 and Samyang 12mm lenses. Since then I have won an award in the 'Capture Yorkshire' contest for my Skyfall and Staithes images. I find photography a great incentive to get out and visit some fantastic places. and I like to travel around the country at every opportunity. Always a keen artist throughout my school years, I try and incorporate this into my Photography whenever I can.
Regards, Tom Bell
