Jim Jones
I am a retired bank manager and enthusiastic photographer who likes nothing better than being out and about with a camera around my neck wandering around the Northumberland coast.
Retirement is a wonderful thing for any amateur photographer, freeing up time and getting rid of less pleasant things like working for a living.

Rainbows and Fogbows
A rainbow is a meteorological phenomenon that is caused by reflection, refraction and dispersion of light in water droplets resulting in a spectrum of light appearing in the sky. It takes the form of a multicoloured circular arc. Rainbows caused by sunlight always appear in the section of sky directly opposite the Sun. Fogbows are formed in the same way, but in foggy conditions producing a white arc rather than the much more common colours of a rainbow
Seaton Sluice
The village of Seaton Sluice is situated in the South East of the county of Northumberland in the North East of England. There is a small tidal harbour, a sea stack called Charlies Garden and a number of whitewashed buildings on Rocky Island which is separated from the mainland by the sluice from which the village gets its name.
