Devoke Water Sunset, Cumbria

Sunset at Devoke Water, a small lake in the mid-west region of the Lake District, Cumbria. It is the largest tarn in the Lake District & lies on Birker Fell, 1 km to the west of the road between Ulpha & Eskdale, at an altitude of 770 feet. It has a depth of 46 ft, It can be reached via a bridle track. There is a two-storey stone 18th century boathouse-cum-refuge and a ruined stable. I was lucky enough for an Ironman Training, who got out and just squatted there for a longish exposure.
