A beautiful day on Dartmoor, with Dartmoor ponies in the fore ground. and perfect white fluffy clouds. Hound Tor is a tor on Dartmoor, Devon, England. A heavily weathered granite outcrop. It is easily accessible, situated within a few minutes from the B3387 between Bovey Tracey and Widecombe-in-the-Moor. Legend has it that, Hound Tor was created when a pack of hounds were turned to stone, it was also the inspiration for the Hound of the Baskervilles by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
